Quilt Lovers Tote (May 25 or June 29)

This quick beginner class will appeal to both the experienced quilter and those just dipping into the world of quilting. We supply all the materials for you to make a functional canvas tote with your own custom sawtooth star front patch. You will learn about fabric choice, layout & design of the versatile half square triangle, accurate cutting and piecing practices. You are welcome to bring favourite quilting cottons to feature in your star or you can choose fabrics from our huge collection, each tote will be unique and wonderful.

When: Saturday May 25 1- 4pm ( 1 class – 3hrs instruction in total) OR Saturday June 29 10am - 1pm ( 1 class - 3 hrs instruction total)

Group size: Maximum of 6 students

Age range: Adults 16+

Skill level: Suitable for confident beginners who are familiar with domestic sewing machines, cutting out fabric, seam allowances.

Supplies: All supplies included.

Teacher: Tazia was taught to sew by her two grandmothers and has always loved creative expression of all kinds. She has created over 60 quilts in the last 5 years. She loves exploring colourful motifs and is experienced with complex patterns, piecing, binding by hand and machine quilting.
