Pattern Prep & Fit Lab (May 16, June 13, July 8)

Getting the fit of your garment right takes customization of your pattern pieces before cutting out your fabric and possibly a toile (a practice garment made from an inexpensive fabric) so you can make adjustments to perfect the fit and have much better overall final project. Bring in your paper pattern or a toile to the 2 hr fit lab and Julia, our garment expert, will take a look and provide you with some guidance plus learn from others and their fitting issues. Julia has extensive expertise in pattern drafting and fitting and will be able to lead you through making tweaks and adjustments to your pattern to improve the look and fit of your final make.

Note* If you are looking for fabric to make a toile, don’t forget about our very economical  “Sew it Along” fabrics.

Age range: Adults 16+

Skill level: Suitable for Sewists with some sewing experience.
