Adult Learn to Sew (Multiple Dates)

This fun session will give you the confidence to start exploring and creating. You will learn to operate a home sewing machine, a serger and gain foundational skills you can use for future projects. We cover fabric selection and layout, reading patterns, pinning, cutting, marking, seams and seam finishing, hemming and more. You will make a throw pillow case and a tote bag as your first two projects.

When:

Sat/Sun April 27 & 28 10am - 3pm (2 classes)

Thursdays May 2 - May 23 6 - 9pm (4 classes)

Tues/Thurs June 18 - 27 12- 3pm (4 classes)

Group size: Maximum of 8 students

Age range: Adults 16+

Skill level: Suitable for absolute beginners with little or no experience using a sewing machine, or for someone who needs a refresher.

Supplies: All supplies included.

About the Teacher: Julia is our resident garment expert. She delights in designing functional, sustainable garments with professional finishing and construction techniques.
